Report 043 - [Accidental Voice//Video]

[The first thing heard from the new post is rapid breathing, and then a voice, shaking and clearly upset.]

...Roy?

[Then there is the sound of buttons being pushed, a few random beeps as the PCD switches to video.  After a hand moves away from the screen, the owner of the voice is then revealed to be Riza, her long hair loose and flowing over her shoulders, though it's obvious she hasn't brushed it yet.

And her eyes, her usually rich, chestnut brown eyes...are clouded.]

Roy, where...where are you?

[She looks lost, scared.  It seems she doesn't know she's being recorded, either.  She lifts a hand in front of her face, over her eyes.  She passes it over the vacant expression once, twice, then lets out a shaky breath and her eyes widen more.]

I can't...I can't see.

[And the feed times out.]

It seems the animus are playing with our senses. Sight, hearing, taste, ectera.

[His name on her lips woke him, and groggily he sat up beside her, frowning when he spotted her and reaching out his hand, feeling a little odd about the touch. He couldn't feel anything.

He ignored it, clearly she was disturbed by something.]

Riza. I'm right here.

[She did not want to talk to Alucard in this state. She felt too vulnerable.]

...Wonderful.

[He couldn't feel, but she could, and when she felt his hand on her back, she jumped a little bit, hating how her loss of sight had also seemed to affect her sense of...sensation. She couldn't tell where anything or anyone was.

But her hands quickly fumbled for his and she held him tightly, using him as an anchor in her dark world.]

I can't see.

[He saw her flinch, and it was weird not to feel the movement. Gently, he tugged her in close, pulling her against his side and into his lap.]

No... I can't feel anything.

[He muttered the words quietly, and dipped his head to press a kiss to her forehead.]

Think it might be another event?

[She willingly went with his actions, knowing she could trust him. Having him so near calmed her somewhat, though she was still frightened.]

Alucard said it was. It only makes sense that way.

[By now, any mistrust between them would be criminal - so he wrapped his arms neatly around her, letting out a sigh when he couldn't really tell how tightly he was holding - which as a result meant his arms were loose about Riza's waist.]

[She noticed the looseness and took it into her own hands to tighten his hold around her. He may not have been able to feel, but she wanted to.]

I know. But I think we're stuck with him.

[Seeing her move closer felt good, and he watched his movements carefully to rub her back, able to see how heavy his movements were by the state of the fabric of her shirt. Her comment made him chuckle, and he let out a soft sigh at the thought of the week they faced.]

As usual, we'll find a way to manage.

[She can't tell it's video, but hey, she hears a familiar voice, so it's all good. Just don't mind the bedhead or the fact that she just woke up not too long ago.

And don't get weirded out that she's not looking directly at the screen.]
